Memorial Day Message from AFLC

Man PrayingPlease take a moment today to thank a veteran and his or her family for the sacrifices they have made for us and our blessed Nation.  And especially, take a moment to say a prayer for those veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice.  We must never forget all that they have done for us. . . .  Simply put, we enjoy the freedoms we have today because of them.

As Ronald Reagan famously observed,

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.  We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream.  It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.”

In short, each generation must be willing to fight, and if necessary, die to protect the freedoms that many of us take for granted.  Our veterans, past and present, fully understand this.  Indeed, there is an old saying that for those who fight for it, freedom has a special flavor the protected will never know.

Please know that all of us at the American Freedom Law Center understand this and are fully committed to defending in the courtrooms, the legislative halls, and the public square those precious freedoms that our veterans have fought and died for on our Nation’s battlefields

In closing, today is a day that all Americans should understand that we live in a blessed Nation and to remember that the freedoms we enjoy have come at a price—a price willingly paid for by our brave servicemen and servicewomen and their families.  And for that, we are truly grateful.
